I have decided to add some photos to show our work and that of some of our friends. Everything available to buy at Swallow Studios Art & Craft Gallery is created in Ireland and I know the people who make it……….no mass produced goods here! Mentoring business-men have countless times suggested that ‘ I get it made abroad ‘, ie for a lot less, and increase profits. And I have been described as rearing up like a dragon….it is ALL about designing AND making here in Ireland. Too many  skills have been lost, and this weaver will do what she can to survive, and encourage other makers with the fire in their bellies for their craft.  Because this is what it takes to make a living as a craft worker.  And as in all aspects of life two heads are better that one and when we work together to encourage and support each other, then we will see results.

So watch this page…..I hope to build up a gallery of some beautifully made, Irish, and in particular , local craftwork.  And I think the best way to do this is to dedicate a page to each artist…..I am learning as I go!
